who are we?

A little bit about us… 

Hi, we’re Josh & Cat, the people behind Stepping Stones Drama! 

We’re both professional actors, and between us we have 5 years of experience teaching children drama. We’re also very proudly local. we live just 5 minutes from where our classes take place, so this really is a school rooted in our own community. Cat used to be a rainbow at the exact same church when she was younger! 

Stepping Stones was spearheaded by Josh, who wanted to create the kind of drama class that goes beyond simply learning lines and putting all the pressure on producing a show. For us, drama is a tool for helping children grow in confidence, express themselves, make friends and feel comfortable being themselves.

Cat was a very shy child growing up, and she knows how much she would have loved a space like Stepping Stones. Somewhere she could have fun, make friends and gradually find her voice without feeling like she had to be the loudest person in the room.

That’s exactly the kind of environment we want to create: a place where every child can take their own steps, at their own pace.
